When dogs catch a flu, is it a big issue?

I spot my dog sneezing these few days. There was yellow thick goo (I call it hingus) hanging from his nose, and when he saw me approaching... he licked it clean........

And also! When he sleeps, he snores like he's having a blocked nose.

Is he gonna DAIIIII??!
